EP 224 – How to Avoid the New Year, New Me Trap

If your primary motivation for getting healthy is the new year, the reality is your why isn't big enough.

You've got to want change so bad that you can't spend another day without improving your situation – regardless of the date on the calendar. Most of you aren't willing to make the daily choices to change your lives, so why in the world would you think that you could make a yearly change?

Making a yearly change is just a series of daily changes stacked together, but it's like pulling teeth to get dads who need to get healthy to commit to working the process.

If you won't commit to those daily bite sized chunks of improvement, then you'll never achieve a yearly improvement goal. New Year's resolutions to get healthy have the highest probability of failure, and yet many of your are hanging your hat on "this being the year it happens."
